How hot is it?

It's so hot here that the cats have deserted their usual haunts and are laying low elsewhere. Josie has deserted her throne in favor of the stairs to the lower yard where breezes blow up, or is else under one of the cars, whichever one hasn't been driven recently. Meggie prefers the grass, and is currently under the birdbath, disdaining the birds and not minding if they occasionally splash on her.
