Kari rolled a mean doobie.

Linklater absolutely nailed the vibe of late 70’s Texas H.S. kids hanging out. I attended the 10 year reunion “Party at the Moontower” in 2003 hosted by the Austin Film Society. They showed the movie on an inflatable movie screen where the Moontower party scene was shot. Nearly all of the actors were there. I bought a VIP ticket so I got to sort of do a little hob-nobbing. Had a nice conversation with Nicky Katt and “Mr. Pickford” who, BTW, picked me off as being very high.
