Tim Miller's pearl necklace when he's featured on Morning Joe, like this morning.

I love them! Reminds me of my mother's pearls when I was growing up. To me, it meant becoming a proper lady (I'm an old lady now).

Tim wears them with a blue shirt (definitely a work shirt), casually buttoned.

He looks terrific!

Who happens to be openly Gay as well.

He is smart, very astute and articulate when it comes to the issues. I think as time goes on, he becomes more progressive. He sure sounds like it.

Love the pearls.

This is what I found:

Tim was a self-proclaimed Republican “hitman,” before denouncing the political party in 2016. He later joined Our Principal PAC, an organization designed to combat Donald Trump’s run for presidency.

(Snip)

Tim has not explicitly revealed the reason why he wears the jewel but that has not stopped fans from coming up with theories of their own. One Twitter user suggested the piece is a “chakra necklace,” while others believe that Tim simply likes to “accessorize.”

He also wrote a book, Why We Did It: A Travelogue From the Republican Road to Hell

It reminds me of a fun postcard that a friend had in her office and I don't think half of her coworkers got it, I know of one who didn't for a time. It was a post card with a cartoon character of a big, burly guy in a tank top and a solemn look on his face wearing a double string of pearls. The caption said something like... Bruce's coworkers accepted him despite his double string of pearls.

It was in the 1980s and being out was dangerous in many ways in the professional realm in many places. This was San Diego so there was a pretty healthy community at the time. I was pretty sure, without needing to say anything, before I saw the postcard in her office and I laughed when I saw it. She knew, right then, that I got it and was relieved at my response. She was a friend of a friend and we were only newly acquainted but that mutual friend was close to both of us and didn't get it. I wasn't going to tell them either and she was thankful.

A couple years later the mutual friend found out, from the gay friend, the truth... it was a strange moment but eventually was okay with it. I had a good laugh about it but never told the mutual friend anything, including the laughing part.

So when I see Tim with his double string of pearls, I instantly think of the friend with the postcard, her partner and some of the fun we had when we all lived in the same city.
