But, yes, this was a very risky thing to do.

(11,850 posts)This is called Siberian Tiger Park and it's located in Harbin, China.
The Siberian tiger that is walking backwards and lowering the head is not submitting at all. It's showing signs of aggressiveness with head down, ears pulled back and is snarling. It did however get tripped up, which is not the same as submitting.

(11,850 posts)He/She might have some linage to Ngangdong tigers, but I don't know that for sure.
There was a lion named Duke at the Albion Black Pine Animal Sanctuary. Before he passed away in 2003, they found that he had some lineage to another breed of lion that had been extinct for over 100 years. He's currently on display at Albion Indiana Public Library.
