Many times over the years, I've posted here for support and advice. I've checked in, without posting, to smile, get updates, look for information about certain topics and above all the sense of belonging because the majority of the people on DU are like minded. If I feel like a stranger in a strange land, a few minutes on DU reassures me that I'm okay because I didn't drink the kool aid.
