8. this is why i had 2 kittens/cats as a kid. i usually had one sleep next to me + one between my legs.

stomach sleeper. me smallish, cats 12lbs. until am when they were hungry. 1 meow, 2nd trying w/ meows, then double teamed. they only got wet food.
when i got older they's sleep on me.
