The weather goddesses are smiling down on us!

My A/C has been out since last Wednesday and won't be replaced until Friday. It has been in the 90s all week. Today, 94 F with zero chance of rain. We've been roasting. About five minutes ago a beautiful rain shower just opened up right above my little town. Cool wind and rain from the heavens. I threw open our windows and it feels wonderful.

5. That's where my sister lives, right outside of Monticello, near Lloyd.

She just told me the same thing on FB, that she was envious of our rain. I know it's so hot and humid there right now.

Loads of land with a nice pond and stream. I've been trying to get them to move here to Colorado, though.

It stays cool in the house until around 10:00 a.m. Hopefully, just one more day of heat. The day we are supposed to get our new A/C, Friday, the high is supposed to be 75 F. I may not even need the A/C again for a while.

!st time it did that in the 23 years I've been here.

Next time in Jax, go a bit south to St Augustine. Historic downtown and great beaches on the island.
