Star membership question

I renewed my star membership in February in order to have hearts to give out. The star membership is good for one year.

So why have I received two messages today telling me about the benefits of a star membership and asking me to either become a star member or to renew membership?

I know that there is a fund drive going on now, so do those messages mean that if I don't contribute to the fund drive, my star membership will be dropped now after only 6 months?

1. Your membership is good for one year. If you were to contribute now, your membership will be

extended to more than one year.

5. Then why am I getting those messages?

Am I wrong in thinking that the purchase of the hearts in February renewed my membership?

Last summer, I contributed to the fund drive. Then in February, I bought hearts. I thought that the hearts purchase reset my one year membership, to be due again in February of 2024.

Now I am confused about where I stand.

6. Most likely because everyone was getting them (fund raising). Click "my account" at the top of the

page. Then click the “Star Membership” tab, and you will see when your membership expires.

8. Thanks. I forgot that I can check it there.

I just checked and it says that my current membership is good until February 15, 2024.

So the messages that I am getting are apparently fundraising ones, although they don't say that.

2. Are you logged in? Sometimes my crappy provider logs me out and it takes a bit to realize it.

9. Problem solved. They were apparently just

fundraising messages, although they did not say that's what they were.

After checking My Account, I noted that my star membership is not due for renewal until Feb, 2024.
