This is part of an ad for Rachel Ray Nutrish, which I know nothing about. I am posting it for the cat behavior, not for the food.

(25,355 posts)3. The ad statements about real fish and no
by-products or preservatives sound good, but why does it say that the food contains grains and vegetables that cats need? Cats like to chew grass, but I have always thought that grains and vegetables were fillers, not necessities for cats.

They would be eating the stomach contents of rodents and rodents eat grain and other vegetation. Maybe domestic cats need a little of those nutrients? Other than that, I do not know,
