His Fendi and Chanel logos are the final two pictographs, and that may be his signature 'bucket hat' design at the start of the last row ...

In 1977, Karl Lagerfeld hosted the Soirée Moratoire Noir party, specifying "tenue tragique noire absolument obligatoire" (black tragic dress absolutely required).[51] The event included elements associated with leatherman style.[51]

Lagerfeld was able to bend the look to the style of Goths, surfers, hippies, robots — you name it —

STUSSY PAYS HOMAGE TO KARL LAGERFELD'S CHANEL WITH NEW T-SHIRT
The Spring 2019 campaign is a recreation of a classic ad.
Stussy‘s Spring 2019 pays homage to the legacy of the late Karl Lagerfeld. The California streetwear brand created a T-shirt with a photo that references one of Chanel Beauty’s classic campaigns. On the center of a graphic tee we see a model holding a makeup compact that is stamped with Stussy’s dual ‘S’ branding (a swap for the iconic ‘C’ logo). On the back of the white top it reads “Printemps-été 2019” which is French for “Spring/Summer 2019.”

21 FEBRUARY 2019

The outpouring of social media sentiments from high profile musicians, for which Lagerfeld was a darling, is overwhelming. Among these, the aforementioned Allen and Cyrus, are Frank Ocean, Katy Perry, Courtney Love, Swizz Beatz, Kylie Minogue, to name a few. For years Lagerfeld has been seen flanked by everyone from Madonna to Cher to Victoria Beckham to Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and on and on. Many of whom he designed outfits for and who are expressing their admiration and their grief via timeless images with the man himself.

There’s a delightful ode from 2012, 'Karl Lagerfeld', by quirky Italian electropop duo, Fujiyamabit. And Rae Sremmurd’s 'Chanel' featuring Pharrell commands, “Take her to Chanel, ‘cause she fine.” Plus, Lagerfeld made a cameo appearance in Jean-Roch’s video for 'St. Tropez' alongside Snoop Dogg.

But Lagerfeld had some musical output of his own. 'My Favorite Songs' is a two-disc compilation of 23 songs released in 2007. Featuring a wide range of artists, among these: Stereolab, Super Furry Animals, Lindstrom & Prinz Thomas, as well as Devendra Banhart. Banhart also contributed a song to Lagerfeld’s 'Room Service', a multimedia product that includes book, photographs, short film and Banhart’s cover of 'Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend'.

A year later, Lagerfeld was one of the DJs on Grand Theft Auto IV radio stations, K109 The Studio as "DJ Karl". His selections include Cerrone 'Supernature', The Fatback Band '(Are You Ready) Do The Bus Stop', Chic’s 'Everybody Dance', and Sister Sledge 'He’s The Greatest Dancer'. He reprised this role on Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City in 2009 where he spun the likes of Crème D’Cocoa 'Doing the Dog' and Peaches & Herb 'Shake Your Groove Thing'.

Among Lagerfeld’s famous quotes is: “Music gives color to the air of the moment.” And there have been reports of a position in Lagerfeld’s employ as “iPod nanny” where the job description involved transferring his hefty collection of CDs to his 70+ iPods, as well as keeping him abreast of the freshest sounds.

Pharrell Williams remembers working with ‘incredible’ Karl Lagerfeld
Published Feb. 28, 2019

Karl Lagerfeld‘s A-list fans are continuing to mourn the legendary designer.

Pharrell Williams, who made a cameo on the catwalk at December’s Chanel Métiers d’Art show and also worked with Lagerfeld on an upcoming capsule collection, reflected on his experience collaborating with the late couturier in a new video for GQ France. (The clip was filmed before Lagerfeld’s death last week at the age of 85.) ... And while he may be pushing Chanel in a more gender-neutral direction, the “Happy” singer added that he’s never had any problem wearing women’s pieces.

Photos of Lagerfeld's Diamond Brooch Collection in link below:

Karl Lagerfeld’s trademark style—a sharply tailored black jacket, crisp white shirt, wide cravat and ponytail— made him an instantly recognizable icon in the world of fashion and beyond. His finishing flourish was often a natural diamond Suzanne Belperron brooch pinned on his necktie.

“What better way to adorn an austere mostly black outfit than vintage diamond jewelry, designed by the chicest woman in 1930 to 40s Paris,” said Frank Everett, Sotheby’s senior vice president and luxury sales director. “That is style, and that’s why he will always be The Kaiser of Fashion.”

Jewelry was always part of Lagerfeld’s signature flair. Sometimes it was a singular natural diamond brooch or tie pins on his lapel or necktie; other times he wore layers of chunky chain necklaces, heavy metal bracelets, or rings on every finger. His collection ranged from piles of silver Chrome Hearts rings and chains to important JAR pieces. From edgy designs to the classics, Lagerfeld also amassed iconic designs like Verdura’s Maltese cross brooches, David Webb jeweled animals, Cartier signature pieces and, of course, Chanel jewelry.

Lagerfeld is credited with making jeweled brooches a fashionable men’s accessory. Today, natural diamond pins are commonplace among A list celebrities on the red carpet and sports stars today.

How one Australian jewellery designer found a fan in Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld - after the couture king wore her accessories at Fashion Week

As fashion fanatics may well be aware, Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld is king – at least in couture circles.

For Melbourne-based jewellery designer, Emma Abrahams, seeing one of her custom-crafted pieces grace the hands of this leading fashion figurehead was 'a total dream come true'.

Ms Abrahams, who founded gothic-chic jewellery label Heart of Bone, revealed how a meeting with a French journalist led to an opportunity for her to give one of her hand-crafted rings to the man himself.
