Between that and the package that the post office can't deliver because of some mess-up with my address, I don't know what to do. Could they be related??????
I don't have an account with Bank of America, and am expecting no packages through the post office.
Seriously, though, this is just so evil. I'm sure there are gullible people who click on those links, and give out information. I wish there was a way to stop these criminnals.

(8,514 posts)Just give me your bank routing number and account number, and I'll deposit it directly into your bank account.
By the way, in what city were you born, who was your childhood best friend, and what was the name of your first pet? And I've always been curious about your mother's maiden name.

(12,641 posts)They felt I needed help filling out my tax forms with all the breaks I had coming to me. It was not a crank call. Someone had accessed my tax returns and tried to intercept my moolah. My case must have been referred to the wrong Dept. It should have been investigated as I file April 15th every year. But I have always owed the $. I never changed my kids deductibles as they got older in life and well the government gives me a one year loan for free every year! BTW I was never in the military.

(8,514 posts)Once in a while, if I feel like it, I stay on to talk to a representative. I ask them which vehicle they're calling about. The funny thing is that they always *know* that my car warranty is about to expire, but they never know which car it is.
I think next time I'm going to tell them I want to extend the warranty on a Matchbox or Hot Wheels car. That might be fun.

I was an additional cardholder on a BOA account back when I was married, so maybe it's really his info that's compromised. So sad for him.
