(14,371 posts)It's the sound we use for white noise at night year round, but when we were in Sanibel it was wonderful to leave the porch door open all night long.

(28,264 posts)Sure signs of the seasons.
(although I have to confess: once I had to throw a rock at a whippoorwill that was RIGHT outside my window, being WAY too loud, keeping me awake. I had never had one that close and that loud before!)

(26,856 posts)as mentioned.
And I do love kittens/cat purring vids, too.
Big waves are amazing, and they can be relaxing. But the little waves (I call "wavelets" ) are very sweet.
Not yet mentioned - horse hooves:
their walking gait.

(11,851 posts)Sadly, all of my beloved feline companions have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Here's the current beautiful sounds to me:
1. Music, melodies, instrument's, and singing voices.
2. The crackling of a bonfire
3. Thunderstorms
4. The coffee maker brewing coffee
5. My adult children telling me that they love their mom
6. The original engine in a Corvette. They have a distinct sound.
7. When someone hits the sweet spot.
