30 Pumpkin Dessert Recipes (from Sally's Baking Addiction)

plus a link to a page with a recipe for homemade pumpkin pie spice, which looks pretty good except for the addition of a pinch of black pepper, which she insists helps but personally I'd avoid.

I usually avoid both sugar and wheat. I'd recommend that most people avoid them most of the time. But we are heading into holiday baking season, and I love pumpkin and these spices, so I thought I'd post this OP and link for everyone here who also loves them.

You can replace the sugar and vanilla with apple juice for the cream cheese frosting. quaint Sep 2023 #2

I found a close/out on canned pumpkin and bought 20 cans. Couple of days ago I bought a fresh pie one and went to work. I’m going to stick to the canned stuff.

I use maple syrup as a sweetener. Just make a spread, no pies.

It never makes it more than a couple days in the fridge.
Spread it or eat it on a spoon.
The cans I got on sale listed only one ingredient, pure pumpkin.
The small pumpkin I bought made about the same amount as 2 cans. Wish I had bought twice as many cans.
Cream cheese, cinnamon and some nut flour are what I add to it.

Works for me, anyway.
