Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsHas anyone had trouble with their Moderna Covid shot? I got my shot Saturday. Waited the 15 minutes
Also got the flu and pneumonia shot. Came home and walked the dog. I was walking on the street, Dolly was on the grass. I got dizzy and fell face forward on the street. Luckily, or not, I placed my hands down when I knew I was falling. Laid on the road crying again. Yesterday I slept all day. didn;t eat. I don't know if it was the shot or the fall. I never had this reaction to any of my other shots. Had a big bump on my upper arm where shot was given. Please get the shot. I think it was just me.

(989 posts)Covid and flu, same time and arm
First day, fine.
Second day, afternoon, felt feverish and disoriented. Passed after a couple hours.
Since then, been feeling low energy and like a head cold or sinus infection. And my arm still aches. Can't seem to shake it, and it's been a week !
Anyone else???

(3,211 posts)Tuesday, woke up tired and went back to bed at around 11 am for an hour. My wife had the same shots and she had the same reaction. This is the first time we felt so tired. Hope all gets better.

(11,780 posts)I did a face plant a few months ago. A couple people want to take me to the ER but I passed. A couple checked on me the next and questioned me about sleeping. Apparently that a common symptom. (I didnt have a concussion but its something to think about.

(10,997 posts)The conclusion aligns with the World Health Organizations recent recommendations to only routinely give adults tetanus and diphtheria vaccines if they didnt receive a full series of shots as children. In the U.S., the CDCs Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices still recommends all adults receive booster shots every 10 years.
https://news.ohsu.edu/2020/02/25/adults-dont-need-tetanus-diphtheria-boosters-if-fully-vaccinated-as-children-study-finds
The study estimates that eliminating unneeded booster shots could save the United States healthcare system $1 billion each year.

(12,585 posts)Some had fever to 104 and chills for a day, then aches and tired for another day or two. Im going to stick with Pfizer if I can. I had an awful reaction to the pneumonia shot and have just seemed to be more sensitive to meds since chemo, but I do need to get the latest shot.

(29,366 posts)It usually takes about 12 hours after the shot before I feel anything.
My doctor tells me it's a "robust immune response".
I also got both shots Saturday.

(13,849 posts)The medical assistant came up behind me, not giving me the opportunity to mention that I have a lipoma on the shoulder she was about to jab. It is still painful to move certain ways.

(13,849 posts)But no one seems particularly interested, at the clinic. And then when I had pacemaker surgery in April, that shoulder evidently got frozen after being told not to use that same arm. Very painful.
Dem2theMax
(11,005 posts)They definitely hit the wrong spot, because the first thing that happened was I got bursitis. Bursitis caused frozen shoulder. While trying to do the exercises to help frozen shoulder, I tore my rotator cuff and my bicep. Yep, all of that from a flu shot. Never getting one again. The surgeon agreed with me.

(13,849 posts)I hate having the limited movement because of the pain. Can't even put a shirt on without it hurting.
Dem2theMax
(11,005 posts)I can certainly sympathize with you regarding the pain. Keep a close eye on it. If you start noticing more and more limited movement, go see your doctor.
When I realized that the only part of the steering wheel I could touch in my car, was the bottom of the steering wheel that was closest to my lap, I knew something was really wrong. Took a year to get full movement back in my arm. Excruciatingly painful. That's why I say get to your doctor if you notice it's not getting better.

Same thing happened to his father when he got the vax.

(3,201 posts)(3-4 days) Was fine after shots, but that night was tired as hell for another 48 hours. Didn't feel bad, just that
feeling like you have not had enough sleep. I slept 9 hours first day...felt tired.
Second day 10 hours..felt tired. next day..pretty much back to normal
All in all, not that bad an experience.

(3,086 posts)I went on line here and said all was good- no reaction.
Two hours later I was shaking like I have NEVER experienced in my life.
Last 3 shots were pfizer, and I had bad reactions to them as well; but this one was definitely. the most violent reaction of all

(9,056 posts)Tiny hard tender spot but otherwise, not issue. Maybe it was the three-shot combo that got you? I have to wait 2 weeks for RSV and will likely get the pneumonia shot a few weeks later.
Grasswire2
(13,849 posts)I HAD RSV last winter. Holy moly. It was awful. I actually caught it in my podiatrist office. A woman with no mask was coughing and coughing there. Ugh.

(9,056 posts)But not sure. I know they are strongly recommending the vaccine for geezers like me. Family member is on immune suppressors for MS, so I am mighty careful and don't go out in public much, get all the shots I can.
