Today is my twenty-second anniversary of membership at DU.

I started lurking in March or April of 2001, and joined a month after 9/11. I would have gone crazy in a world that had also seemingly gone crazy, if I hadn't had all of you.

I love you all, and no doubt, always will.

21. Same here. Landed here after seeing the DU logo

listed in a site called “Resident Bush” that was cross-promoted along the left margin with other good, relevant, and recommended sites. Fell in head-first and I’m still here, lo these many years later!

I just celebrated mine on October 7th. I’m “22” also!

Gonna have to feel my way along in the new DU, but if I figured things out with the old version, I’m hopeful I’ll do so on the new version before too long.

I "joined" as a lurker in 2000. Kept coming back. Took me a while to do an actual registration, and then lost it all somehow. So, I ended up re-registering. This place is so worth it. Like you, I'd have lost my mind through these years without DU!

I saw DU ?'02 at a Net Cafe. Without a more steady access to the Net I didn't follow it.

But in '20 I needed to talk about something (political) and my music site w a side political forum wasn't cutting it, and I remembered the name. Looked for it right up.
I was really wasn't expecting it to still be around. Was delighted to see it was. 👍
