Clueless in Seattle

OK, I'm not really in Seattle, I'm in Georgia. But I'm STILL clueless.
I'm going to turn the tables a bit here. I saw the ad about DU needing my support. So really, what does DU get out of it? I mean, a buck a year??? C'mon, get real. Make a suggestion. I've never joined a group of folks who make so much sense, so I have no idea where to start.
Thanks to the help I've had from everyone in my life, I'm doing OK. Please, seasoned members, give me a hint as to what amount would actually make a difference. I'll try to uphold the responsibility that comes with being accepted in to such a great group.

Give whatever you're comfortable with. There will be other opportunities to contribute later on, some of them quite fun (think Valentine's Day). Why not start with $35.00, maybe?

The place won't collapse if you don't give anything at all. They have a couple of fund raiser drives during the year where you can contribute and "gift" other users in some small way, so if you only give a little, you'll have chances to give more later.

It's well worth it to eliminate ads and get the other small bennies of membership. If you go to the contributions page, there are some options there you can evaluate and decide what fits your needs and desires.
