Are there any songs for which you like neither the original or any covers?

For me, it's "Simple Man." Never liked the Lynyrd Skynyrd original and the Shinedown cover didn't do anything for me, either.

Fast Car by Tracy Chapman. Like her version and hate the remake by Luke Combs
Zombie by the Cranberries. Like their version and hate the remake by Bad Wolves

2. I have heard some crappy covers of some "classic rock" songs

but I must have suppressed them because I don't recall the names. I can name an original and a cover that I liked quite a bit: Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower and of course Jimi Hendrix's cover. U2 did a decent cover of it in the late 80s.

What amuses me is when a group covers a song that sucked in the original. Of course this is highly subjective, but I always laugh when a song I think sucked the first time around gets covered by someone else. The cover usually sucks too.

Exactly my point with "Simple Man." I never liked the Lynyrd Skynyrd original and the Shinedown cover was not an improvement on it, imo.

I'm intrigued. The song must suck so bad that I don't recall it in either the original or the cover.

Ok- I listened to them both. Yep, they suck. No offense to fans of either group or of the song itself.

To my ears, the song just sucks. Covers can’t improve it.

6. I am kind of mixed on this

I don't hate the song and I like to hear it from time to time but it isn't Dylan's best work, in my humble opinion. It does seem like a lot of people really like the song.
