(16,159 posts)And I sometimes make the whipped cream with a little bit of gelatin so it keeps in the fridge for a few days without separating.

(741 posts)Favorite Whipped topping, however, is homemade; heavy cream, a little vanilla, a little sugar, and a good old-fashioned hand cranked egg beater. Whipped until thick enough to hold peaks when you lift the beater. MMMM

(7,191 posts)It's non-dairy, meaning it's whipped veg oils.
Coop Whip Ingredients: Water, hydrogenated vegetable oil (including coconut and palm oils), high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, skimmed milk, light cream, less than 2% sodium caseinate (a milk derivative), natural and artificial flavor, xanthan and guar gums, polysorbate 60, sorbitan monostearate, and beta carotene.
Appetizing, no???

(11,852 posts)One year I stated that I was ready to enjoy some pumpkin pie. An in-law replied, "Alright, let me make some whipped cream real quick."
I patiently waited for her to make the unnecessary whipped cream and when she finished, she placed a dollop of whipped cream right on top of my pumpkin pie and handed it to me.
I scraped the junk off my piece of pie and dug into it with my fork. She looked horrified that I scraped the dollop of whipped cream off my pie.
"You don't like whipped cream?" she asked me.
"No. The stuff grosses me out. I don't like meringue either." I replied.
No one has ever offered vanilla ice cream on top of pumpkin pie however. That actually sounds delicious.

(11,852 posts)She has always attempted to tell me what to eat since I've known her... she has control issues.
One year she looked at my plate and noticed that I didn't have gravy on my turkey and let me know that there was gravy right next to the turkey. I explained to her that I don't like the taste of gravy.
Another year she tried to tell me that I should put some of this or that on my plate and I calmly said, " I'm 4something years old, I can choose for myself what to put on my own plate."
Her own son knows she has control issues.
Yes, I'm going to try that for Christmas, thank you for the suggestion.

(37,651 posts)First time in years, but I had a recipe for no bake pumpkin pie. My oven has been broken for years.
Turned out great. Made 2 pies from I can of pumpkin 3 packs of instant vanilla pudding, 6 oz of Cool Wip and the usual spices. Then I top it with real whip cream. I know it was real because they used real whips.
2 pies were gone in two days with only 3 of us.
Google no bake pumpkin pie.
