9. I grew up there. 1961-1991.

San Jose and various places up the Peninsula.

Fun place when I was younger, but got too crowded for me. I do miss the diversity there, the many cultures, foods, etc.

You can't beat it for the energy and diversity, I agree. As far as crowding, things (in the City anyway) may have changed a bit since you lived here. Drugs and the plague did a fairly thorough job in some parts of town.

and moved to Santa Rosa in 1975, moved to WA for 10 yrs in 2005 and now live in Oregon last 6 1/2 yrs. We are retired and love it here.

I tried to talk my husband into getting a condo in Sonoma years ago but now we are happy in the mountains and just go back to visit.
