I just finished watching all 5 seasons of 6 Feet Under about a family that runs an independent mortuary and funeral home. So they are familiar with death. The series is basically a drama about the characters, their relationships, and all the emotions they go thru with life's difficulties. It has a happy ending. I particularly was impressed with the last episode of the final season. I watched it on hulu.com

(1,107 posts)in my opinion. That episode stayed on my mind for the longest time after watching it. It was so touching and well done, brought a few tears to my eyes. I watched it when it originally aired, haven't re-watched any of it yet, but plan to.

(104,936 posts)Great show. The episode that started with the inflatable dolls and the rapture-obsessed religious fundy woman was great.

(8,806 posts)Wow....You've seen it two or three times and don't remember the series finale?
I think many regard it as the best series ending in T.V. history.
My instinct is to tell you to stop what you're doing now and go watch it!

(8,806 posts)Movies and T.V. shows have been my passion my entire life!
In fact, the ones I really enjoy I've watched many, many times.
I saw Six Feet Under when it was on in real time (early 2000's). It is without question in my top 10 favorite T.V. shows of all time.
The writing and acting are stellar. In fact, I'm due for a re-watch sometime soon. The series finale is often considered to be the best in T.V. history.

(24,590 posts)after hearing how great the final show is, don't cheat and watch it first. It is not a stand alone great show. It's only great if you have watched the series. If you watch the ending alone, you'll just wind up saying WTF?

(4,496 posts)I had watched all of it several years ago. I finally got my spouse to watch it at lunchtime this past year. Without a doubt it is one of the best series ever. The finale so well done. It made us laugh and cry at the same time, as well as think about the meaning of our lives.
