(60,612 posts)Mother-in-laws for Christmas. Then a week in North Carolinas Outer Banks. Its fun to go to resort areas in the off-season. Then a few days in Miami before going home to get back to work.
Have a happy!

(42,289 posts)celebrate Christmas with our son and family. We usually have a nice meal and when everything is cleaned up we'll sit down and open our presents. Afterwards we go back to the dining table and I get out the bingo game. Wife throughout the year buys inexpensive gifts under five bucks and wraps them with money inside, five dollars, ten dollars etc. Whenever someone wins bingo they get to pick a prize. The kids love this and it's great entertainment for Grandma and Grandpa and makes Christmas last a little longer.
After bingo we usually eat ice cream and cake. Then Grandma and I drive the 50 miles back home.

(42,289 posts)five bucks on the bingo gifts. They are usually gifts like laundry soap, toilet paper, crazy stuff, but stuff that's useful. The envelopes inside the presents with the money are what the grandchildren get excited about.
