I saw a lone cardinal in the branches of one of my trees this morning...are cardinals late migrators?

Or are they here throughout the winter?

He stood out because of his color and the lack of leaves at this time. I haven't seen any other birds around here...

3. I wondered because I thought he was so exposed to danger, being that color and no leaves left to hide him.

But do tell them I just restocked the feeder with their favorites!
As my parrot actually tells them when he is outside , "The food is ready now!" and subsequently
I used to say that to him when I put food in his dish.

I never ever saw a cardinal until I moved Down South.

Now they're here year round.

No such thing as global warming though....

Usually have five pairs over the winter coming to the feeder.

Carolina Wrens are really starting to populate year round in the last decade.

See more Robins in the middle of winter though.

It was a fall spectacle around Thanksgiving in the Delaware area along I-95.

Now some are established year-round about DC.
