My therapy for the day.... It is getting better... but slowly ..... for those who care

Watched my son play in his basketball league…. Akron J.C.C…. Good players but the bed sore on my
butt had me get off the folding chair and go find a sofa.

Tried to use the gym but I have lost so much strength since my illness I couldn’t even bench
45 lbs … I used to do more… I have a long way to go …. But I walked about 1/4 mile on my
own.

I went to his house and cooked some breakfast and did the dishes. Even doing the dishes was
enjoyable. The nursing home where I am at now serves powdered or freeze dried eggs and
fruit in heavy syrup. along with other crap. Omelets with cheese, onions, some spices,
toast, and coffee was treat! My daughter in law (pro cook and baker) had some left over scones
and some fruit around too.

Got lots lab licks from my dog. And some grandkid time. I made play-doh cakes with
the older one and held the younger as we looked @ some picture books. Nice.

I took a real shower. Damn it felt good.

I had to go back to the nursing home but we are working on my discharge before the end of
the month.

Stairs are still a problem but they are getting better slowly.

Sorry to

********

Everybody say it with me. Those were not payments to Trump but bribes and the Steele Dossier
was right! Rinse lather and repeat. Fuck Fox and the GOP because the truth is toxic to them.

I've had the misfortune to spend some time in rehab facilities. The quality of the eggs has been an ongoing discussion. Men who have been in the military swear that the scrambled eggs are powdered. They're always served cold, too.

The two-times-a-week showers are not frequent enough. The thought of being dirty just adds to the awfulness of being there. Don't get me started on the laundry people losing clothing, or the wifi that doesn't work more than it does. That made the nurses' job a lot harder.

That's why it's good that you had some time to spend with your family today in non-institutional surroundings. Best of luck for your release.

It's Emeril Lagasse who's constantly trying to sell his pots and pans.

And here’s hoping you can make it more than just once in a while now that you’re on the road to recovery.

for at least 6 weeks, you're on weight restrictions or you should be. You're still healing.

Start working more on your endurance rather than your strength, and that will most likely start with walking, either outdoors or on a treadmill at the gym when the weather stinks. Then start slowly on an elliptical for stair climbing rehab.

Don't try to rush any of this stuff, it can make things worse instead of better.

Iron Botany's just going to have to wait.

Sounds like a good morning. You got to see your son play bball! That's exciting. Did you find a couch?

Nice breakfast you made. For you and your son, or others?

I hope you get your discharge soon. Then, as your body heals, you can get some energy from whatever exercise you can do.

Thinking of you.

If you don't enjoy the food you get, would Door Dash be an option? Might be able to get a meal in-between your visits home.
Hope you are tip-top soon
