Heading to dentist

Moving into phase 2 of uninsured TMJ jaw treatment. So worried about the cost and process. I had to take an anti-anxiety med. Phase 1 was wearing day/night splints to realign my jaw back into place.

I had to share, since I'm sitting here feeling like I'm going to doom. I'm disabled on a limited income.

Be easy with yourself. You are doing what needs to be done. I hope your doc can help work the finances out! 🙏🏼💗

you should be eligible for Medicaid, which would cover the cost of your TMJ treatment.
Have you applied for those benefits? That would be one less thing to worry about.

Everytime I go to the dentist I flare up. I fainted years ago and fell straight on my chin. I've found these cups works very well. They feel great when you just move them around a little bit. I talked to a physical therapy guy, (with a doctorate) and he said they were fine. There are other silicone ones but for TMJ you have to use a very small cup

This phase 2 involves stabilizing the joint with braces? Restorative dental work? Both? My jaw is basically out of alignment

and massage it. It hurts like hell but it lossens that tendon, (?) way in the back

I've been around the world with TMJ. I do not think the most expensive treatments are worth it.
