We made it to Tucson! We are in an Apartment and are looking for work. Thanks to the VA VASH/HUD program we have the apartment, they will be sending us all the things we need for the apartment tomorrow.

I highly recommend checking out 4th Avenue just north of downtown. The Tucson Weekly (in
those omnipresent red boxes) is a good source of info for interesting food, music,, cultural
events, etc.

6. Sadly , I did not.

I was sleeping in backs of old, abandoned buildings at the time many of the real heavy rains came in. It is an experience I will not soon forget. Luckily the Salvation Army Shelter here gives away disaster blankets to the people out on the street. Those babies are water resistant. I just made myself into a burrito and enjoyed the lighting shows.
