He was the recipient of numerous awards, including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, three Golden Globe Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, a Silver Bear, a Cannes Film Festival Award, and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

(7,964 posts)With Hud a close second. I feel like Newman and other hearthrobs like Brad Pitt don't get enough credit because of their looks but Newman was great in both of those. He finally got his due with the Verdict but he was great in many roles.

And, I don't care for Sally Field, but even she was ok in it.
Other obvious options were Butch Cassidy, The Verdict, The Hustler, & Color Of Money.
