Don't even bother looking for it, it's an industrial product. Precursor for other stuff or animal feed. But soooo rich, not even all that seeet. I got a gallon "sample" once and put it on pancakes for years. Too bad the place that gave it to me is no longer here.

relish, etc. I get what you are saying. I tell them PLEASE write it down when you use the last of anything. But some folks
here can't seem to get it, Yes, I have made pancakes and searched like crazy for the syrup that was gone. I understand what you are saying. I do like your concoction of Dr, Pepper, fresh strawberries and melted butter. TY nevergiveup

If you don't have some good cane syrup, just eat the grits, eggs and bacon. When we were kids, and out of syrup, dad would just mix sugar and water and heat it to make our own syrup.

Just had it on French Toast. Syrup is usually not real syrup but high fructose corn syrup junk. Also very sticky.

like cranberry, but slightly sweet. Al Johnson's brand is the best from what I've tried, personally.

You can spread some real butter on the pancake followed by a couple of spoons of brown sugar. Roll it up, pick it up, and enjoy. And don't forget that Nutella is an excellent pancake topper. If neither of these is available, any fruit jam will work.

honest, I absolutely hate maple syrup. I know that sounds strange. My family thinks so too. 😊
So, I rarely eat pancakes but when I do, I always use lots of butter - and blueberry syrup on at least one pancake. 😊

Various family members always canned a lot of these fruit preserves.
They also did apple and pear preserves but they are not my favorites

One of my aunts had a Damson plum tree, and those were awesome preserves!!

In a pinch, fruit jelly is fine. We always had tons of grape jelly because my grandmother had a large concord grape arbor.

Apple Butter with some marg/butter is my main "no syrup" goto. Use different jellies/jams all the time including orange marmalade.
