(2,499 posts)Haunting performance by Joni Mitchell at 80 and clearly not in good health. Made me cry.

(43,850 posts)Brandi laid out her stroke and recovery pretty well. She came back from utter debilitation. Incredible. Shes doing a concert at the Hollywood Bowl this summer.
I have to applaud anyone who is willing to show themselves to the world after they have undergone devastating mental or physical illness. Shows great courage and resiliency on her part. That song and Jonis rendition of it at this point in her life were especially poignant. Its just hard seeing the icons of our youth go through the inevitable trials and tribulations of getting older.

(113,971 posts)and then there was that (whatever it was) cringe-worthy Jay-Z attack on fellow nominated performers in Beyonce's category and the Grammys themselves because Beyonce did not get AOTY. Right after he was awarded the most prestigious award himself? Honestly... Memories of Kanye. Enough said

(4,689 posts)Wife pushed me so I watched it with plans of only watching the beginning. Ha, I had a blast for 3 1/2 hrs. Learned about a bunch of newer artists, I am always late to the party where newer artists are concerned. Enjoyed Billy Joels new song. "Turn the lights back on". First performance in 22 years and first new song in 30. Loved the story of the fan kicking him in the ass to get back out there.
Trevor Noah was FANTASTIC.
Probably watch the 'beginning' next year too.
