A Blivit is a unit of measurement. As explained by my dad, a Blivit was 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound sack. I will now try to use it in a sentence, that Blivit Trump is at it again with his election lies. Or possibly , Trump is a Blivit.

I have a habit of referring to random items as "George".

A spool of thread is George to me. I could drop it. "Ah no, I just dropped George!"

So-and-so, gizmo, gismo, contraption, and unlabeled mystery item are other words that I call items.

"Cogged Frumstammer"

That was lifted from a mad type magazine for gearheads called "CARtoons" the panel simply showed the innerworkings of a less than honerable automotive shop. Every car in for repair got a "cogged frumstammer" no matter the problem

"Spriogonkulator"

Thats a word my dad always used when i asked how something worked. Every intricate machine has one, no matter what it is

"Schnorklewhacker"

Thats the creature that haunted Binkleys anxiety closet in the comic strip "Bloom County" Giant Purple Schnoklewhacker was the exact name i belive.

...for "a part which serves no useful purpose."

When Kansas City spent a few MILLION dollars to put four "futuristic" sculptures on top of their convention hall, they were derided in some circles as "dunsels," and also "giant hair curlers." (I liked "dunsels" better!) Hideous to some, nonsensical to others, they are seen by many as simply a colossal waste of money. A few years ago, they were inspected and one was found to have serious cracks. They had to have a helicopter lift it off its pylon, which was just left bare for months while the dunsel was repaired. It was a big eyesore, and IMHO, putting it back didn't improve it any.
This is what "dunsels" look like:
