14. I had out patient surgery for a hernia in October.

It hurt a little for a few days when I would stand up, sit down and the worst was coughing
or sneezing. Mine was an inguinal hernia, some others may be more difficult to get over I suppose. You will be OK just do what they tell you. Don't go out and dig ditches or do 100 sit ups.

39. I had outpatient surgery for an abdominal hernia a few years ago, and it was pretty much as you described.

The main difference was that there were several different locations in need of repair, so there were multiple (tiny) incisions. I was definitely uncomfortable for several days, but I wasn't laid up for very long.

It wasn't fun, but really not a big deal in the overall scheme of things.

41. I had robotic surgery there were 3 1 inch

incisions, can barly see them now. I was told not to lift over 10 pounds for a week and then 20 pounds the next 5 weeks. I followed the doctor's orders to the letter. Doing great now.
