I have a few: Kroger's Private Selection. Tillamook. Guernsey Farms. and Jeni's. The creamier and richer the better.

(5,393 posts)While looking for a photo of my favorite but now retired Ben and Jerrys flavor, I saw Tillamook makes a Brownie Batter flavor. Have you ever had it?

(27,000 posts)I have to make a special trip to go to a Kroger's that carries Tillamook. The one close by only has three flavors.

(19,382 posts)I know Ben and Jerry because I have heard. But none of the others. I wished I liked Ben and Nerrys, but its not my taste as its too chunky for most flavors.

I'm not super fussy, but I do like BB ice cream.
I usually buy ice cream on price, so I buy what's on sale. But, if nothing is on sale, BB is my go to.

(6,640 posts)For those not from the area it is an institution in Cincinnati and southwestern Ohio. We have a scoop shop about ten minutes away and another 20 minutes away. Sadly, it's not only high in fat but high in price as well. So, many times I'll buy the cheap Kroger brand instead. I can get two 48 ounce Kroger's containers for the same or less than the price of one 16 ounce Graeter's.

(6,640 posts)you best grab some. I'm on their email list and they keep sending out messages about saying goodbye to it or words to that effect.
I love many of their flavors, but some years back they did a twist on their Boldly Bearcat flavor by infusing it with red velvet Oreos or something. Damn, that was amazing, but it went away quickly. I keep looking for it but it hasn't returned.

(10,104 posts)Wonderful creamy and affordable! When on sale sometimes cheaper than Giant brand. The Dutch Chocolate is truly great. For national brands, Tillamook is the best IMO.
Breyers USED to be good, when it was made in Philly. Unilever bought it, closed the local factory, shrank the box and changed the formula. No thanks.

Didn't stop us from buying it again when it returned. Should it have? Eh.
On another note, Ben & Jerry's rocks, but it's pricey!

(4,466 posts)When we first moved to the CA desert last June, it took a while to get an outlet installed in the garage so I could charge the Tesla. The nearest Super Chargers are in an outdoor mall thing here called The River and located in that mall is a Ben and Jerry's store. SO many flavors to choose from. I always pick a flavor with caramel in it. LOVE their ice cream. Thankfully we got the home charger installed or else I'd weigh 100 more pounds now!
The absolute best ice cream Ive ever had. Was stuff I made myself. The blueberry-chocolate chip is probably the best Ive made.
