when they came and went. As to fashion fads, the one I disliked the most was the huge shoulder pads in a lot of women's clothes during the '80s. I hated looking like a linebacker, but if you cut them out the garment didn't hang properly. It was a ridiculous look. You had the big hair, then the jackets with shoulder pads, which were worn with skinny leggings and (sometimes) high heels, so there was this weird top-heavy inverted triangle effect.

My mother absolutely fell in love with polyester doubleknit. The only thing she EVER wore when she left the house was a polyester doubleknit pantsuit in some color not found in nature, a white shell blouse and lipstick in a shade so far from what she should be wearing - basically, a fire-engine red that only looks good on about four people - that it was embarrassing.

Here's the worst part: one of her granddaughters got married in 2011 and she was planning to wear the same clothes and makeup to the wedding. I took her to Macy's to get that shit fixed.

during the majority of the Victorian era.

Some of the ultra pencil thin eyebrows that women (and sometimes men) wore in the 1920's through early 2000's were not flattering at all.

By some luck, I was able to escape the bowl hair cut AKA the Dorothy Hamill cut.

I collected fad'ish items all my life. My wife thought I was cray.

Now retired, selling vintage collectibles on eBay to make some extra...

Just sold one 30 year old Pokémon 1st edition card (a rare find) for several grand.
