(29,377 posts)We went to see it as a family on the eve of my mom's college roommate's funeral. I was so sad and down. I never thought that I would laugh again. I remember at the end when he shoo's the audience away and says go home. I laughed and I laughed. It was very cathartic.

I recently tried re-watching it. Gave up after about 15 minutes because it was so dated, so not very funny that it was tragic.
Some things just don't age well.

I was under quite trying circumstances at the time, and this movie let me feel like a regular person for a while. 🧡 (Things did improve some weeks later 👍 )
And I've rewatched it a bunch of times! Been quite a while. Will have to see if any of my streaming services have it. 👍
