Person 2 holds the pipe in front of the turtles mouth. When the turtle takes a chomp on it, he pulls the head out as far as he can get it.
Person 3 uses the ax to render the turtle stone cold dead.
Then you use the Sawzall to get him out of his shell.

(2,489 posts)a secret: I am hovering right above 200 lbs., like 201, and I expect to break through the 200 barrier this week. During the pandemic I blew up to 265. I have whittled away at it since then, and the beginning of February I made it to 225.
I stopped drinking wine in the evening and the weight just started to drip off of me!
So I am doing well, I think. I am 76 years old, my knees are bad, so my exercise possibilities are somewhat limited. But I am a champ at starving myself!!
So ain't nobody gonna bring me down...I am on a roll!
But thanks for losing a few minutes of your life reading more detail than you wanted to know.
Niagara
(11,850 posts)I started off on July 21, 2021 at 210 lbs, 45.5" waist and 48" hips. I didn't bother to measure anything else.
As of October 31, 2023, I was at 170 lbs, waist 41" and hips 42.5". I'm
It took me awhile to build up my I.F. times and at one point I had a client that was most difficult and I found myself stress eating.
Once I was moved from that case after 14 months, my weight loss journey continued and fairly quickly.
I did fall off the Ketosis wagon around Thanksgiving 2023 through January 2024, but I'm slowly building back up. I have no one to blame but myself for that hiccup.
I love hearing about weight loss success stories so I didn't lose any minutes today my friend!
nocoincidences
(2,489 posts)I, too, do a modified keto with a lot of fasting thrown in. But 40 lbs. in around two years is excellent!
Especially with high stress to deal with. I have been retired for 11 years and I have been very strict about protecting myself from stress.
I have friends who seem to think retirement means goal setting! No.....that was my work life, I am looking for freedom from schedule making. My only goal is weight loss and I am very self-forgiving. No more shame and blame and very loose goals. I am going to cross the 200 barrier soon, but I don't care if it happens tomorrow or next month, really.
If you start to lose focus or get too stressed I am here to support you. (I used to be a Neuropsychologist but that only counts if you have brain damage!!)
I'm just a fellow traveler following you down a muddy road in the heavy rain, yelling encouragement into the wind!! But occasionally the sun comes out, and we stop for a picnic of whatever we want!
Niagara
(11,850 posts)I'm not at retirement age yet and I have a long while to go. Lol!
When I'm able to retire, I'll have some goals but I definitely won't be so hard on myself.
I don't believe that I have brain damage but they're a select few DU-ers who treat me like I do.
I'll also be traveling with you down a muddy road in heavy rain while yelling encouragement towards you if you happen to need it. I'm not afraid of mud, rain or wind, although I'm not crazy about being outside during lightening surges.
I have a few Keto recipes in the Weight Loss/Maintenance group. I'm really hoping to place a Keto Fathead Dough Pizza recipe in the group this weekend.

(53,193 posts)First is my Layered Jello Salad. You pick five flavors of gelatin - recently Ive been using DeGari from Mexico - a quart of Greek yogurt and some fruit complimentary to each layer. Dont do some damn thing like several flavors the same color. Layer 1 has gelatin made the normal way. Layer 2 has Greek yogurt instead of cold water. Then you alternate the rest of the way up.
French Fest mushrooms. Every year the French Army threw a volksfest in Berlin, and every year the whole field station went to eat these mushrooms. Just fry sliced mushrooms, diced ham and crushed garlic in butter.
Strassen-Unfalle. OF COURSE theres an Army story attached to this. One day at work they had me train this really awesome female major in the Ways of The Force or some damn thing. Anyway, comes chow time and she had me go down first so I could report what they were serving. Maam, I think the shuttle bus hit a grunie pig on the way up here. Theyve got six different kinds of pork on the serving line. One of our German linguists - great analyst but you couldnt let him out in public; I have no fucking idea how this guy retired as a sergeant major - came up with Strassenunfalle as the translation for road kill
anyway, Strassen-Unfalle is just a bunch of random cuts of pork cooked to your taste and dumped on a serving platter. Running over the pig is unnecessary to the success of this dish and I really hope you dont.
Obama pie. I came up with this many years ago after I learned how much President Obama loves pie. Its a handmade lemon meringue pie with Key lime rather than lemon juice.
Blueberry Marble Ice Cream That Never Melts. This is the result of two disastrous experiments that went wrong fucking quick. The first was when I made a batch of blueberry ice cream and decided not to crush the blueberries before adding them to the batter. They froze to a consistency slightly less chewy than steel balls. The other was when I asked myself what would happen if I made the batter out of 100 percent heavy cream. Turns out what you get is a lot like chomping on frozen butter. I stuck the bowl in the sink because theres only so much frozen butter anyone can stand; after eight hours it hadnt even started to melt. So this taste treat, reserved for relatives we hate, is both in the same bowl.
