What was the best thing that happened to you over the week end?

1. Singing in church

We had rehearsal on Wednesday, and then services for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, a Great Vigil on Saturday night, and two full choral Eucharists on Sunday. I wasn't sure I would make it!

But my Mom died on Easter morning in 2008 and I felt that I was celebrating her memory.

3. I cleaned the bathroom.

That's the second time in two or three weeks.

Sat Mar 16, 2024: I just scrubbed down the shower stall and bathtub.

I must be turning into Martha Stewart or something.

9. The grandkids came over with their own Easter eggs and had an Easter egg hunt in our yard.

14. Aw! It was great AND I got to take a walk around the neighborhood with them.

That has been my favorite thing to do with them since they could walk. This was the first time they were were careful about cars without me having to worry.

15. Let me see....

1. I lost my client last Thursday due to the fact that my employer can't seem hire reliable and responsible people. This isn't the only client that I've lost from incompetence either. The only good thing about this is that it will no longer take me about 1 hour to encourage my client to swing their legs over and sit up in bed. It won't take me another half hour to encourage them to physically get up and start moving. I won't have to keep repeating myself 5 to 10 times in 1 hours time either.


2. I decluttered mismatched dinnerware and the person who needed it was extremely appreciative.


3. I decluttered quite a bit of paperwork that I didn't need.


4. I found an unopened jar of honey-roasted peanuts in the house that wasn't expired.


5. I won at least $4 from March 29th Mega Millions drawing. I'm about to head out to get some new numbers for tomorrows Mega Millions drawing. Suck it anti-lottery people.

18. My neighbor brought me

sweet potato pie and smoked salmon she made - so delicious.
After that we watched gospel songs on YouTube. Here is a 15 year old young lady:

20. I taught my grandsons how to fly kites.

They learned quickly and we had a great time!

21. Mrs. Aristus and I had a Facetime visit with her son and our granddaughters.

They're growing up so much. They're not talking baby-talk anymore. My stepson is a spectacularly good father.

25. Our granddaughters live across the country from us in Ohio. So we don't get to see the day-to-day stuff.

Like their best baby talk.

But my first grandson had some cute ones.

Instead of 'remember', he would say 'renember'.

As in "Grandpa, renember when I was a little kid?" (This, when he was just three years old.)

"Grandpa, look! I moke a snowball!" (Interesting insight into child logic; if broke is the past tense of break, moke must be the past tense of make.)

29. Artstus, you are a very loving and kind Grandpa. You love with all your heart. They will grow , but they will always

remember their Grandpa and the love you have shown them. Ofhand, I can remember 3---red for ketchup, hee for horse. blue --for his pacifier. It was blue.

30. Found the Xfinity box they're been nagging me to return for months

I was about ready to just pay for it and then thought it might be in my storage room. But I wasn’t going to dig in there myself so had to wait till my son was on spring break to get him to climb in there. He found it right away.

It felt great after two nights of having to wake up extra early.

And he did well btw.

33. We went to see a touring version of the broadway musical Mean Girls. It wasn't very good.
