4. When my Lab was younger

She would bring her favorite ball when we were eating dinner, jump up and put her paws on the edge of the table and set her ball on the table. She doesn’t do that so much now that she’s older. One time she put it right on my plate.

Maybe she just wanted to be part of the gang. Being part of the gang has always been her thing.

9. He gives me a litte mew when i pet him or wake him up

while petting him. One single mew. Like Hi mom! That is the only time he vocalize except for when I am about to feed him. I love that mew. I have read, that after growing up, indoor cats mostly save meowing for their human parents.

11. My 15-year old dog still does a happy dance

when she knows she's getting one of her favorite treats. Frozen green beans.

12. We have a door to our upstairs. One of our cats can open it but if one of us is in the room

She will sit by it and look at us quite pitifully. When we open the door, she charges up the stairs like a bat out of hell. It's a game.

The Cat Who Will Not Let Us Touch Her has a little fuzzy ball that she likes to play with. It will periodically vanish, then show up in the food dish. Sometimes I find it on my pillow or another spot on the bed, but eventually it ends up with the kibble.

15. I came home from work once and the refrigerator door was open and the pizza box was

on the floor and it was clear my dog Harpo ate it.

I told my roommate she should make sure she closes the fridge door better next time. She said she never left it open.

Later that day we saw Harpo on her hind legs scratching at the refrigerator door until it opened. We cracked up! We put something in front of the fridge and it didn't take for Harpo to forget how to open the door.

16. Our Siamese mix fella, who is about 15 months old...

...like to drop toys into the various water bowls we have around the house. It's very deliberate.

17. They sing! All three! Marlin, our yellow lab, starts it - then Betts and Koda join.

Marlin is quite specific. Harmonica (he sings to Dylan and Neil Young when they play it). Low strings - cello or viola.

Our previous chocolate lab used to sing when I played the piano or guitar.
