(4,544 posts)That its about humanity not chivalry! A halfway joke about a pregnant woman in this country is not funny at all. Pretty much you said it the first time .were on our own.

The one time I was on crutches, I cannot tell you how many times I had doors slammed in my face as I was trying to negotiate both steps and entrance doors to grocery stores, post offices, restaurants-- you name it.
If anything sensitized me to the fact we are too often far too self-absorbed or just clueless louts, it was that experience. So, I try very hard not to add to the problem.

(13,340 posts)Many people just do not bother looking behind them to see if anyone is following them through the door. Part of the problem may be that we get so used to doors that open and close automatically that we no longer think about those that dont.

(558 posts)When I broke my ankle a few years ago and had to shop at Walmart, ii used one of their scooters. I was going to go down one aisle in the pharmacy area and I swear a woman looked at me and then MOVED HER BUGGY IN FRONT OF ME. I had to back up and go around another aisle.

(22,333 posts)I literally cackled, so loudly I woke up my cat and got the stinkeye from her! (She's gone back to sleep already.)
I was incensed when that lout offered to let her sit on his knee (what a jerk), but the ending made it all better.
If this was staged, they did a damned fine job.

(60,320 posts)It doesn't seem to be sold as actuality.
The Xitter caption seems to be like a PSA: "A humorous awareness video". There is a logo F in the upper right.
Think. Again.
(22,456 posts)...why folks are thinking this a random live video.

The driver saw these two middle-aged people walking with canes, and announced that the bus was NOT moving until someone gave up their seats for us.

(214 posts)I remember every time I screwed up. One time I was self absorbed and blew out door an older woman was trying to get into. Another woman, younger, read me the riot act and rightfully so. About 45 years ago and I still remember her face and everything she said. We all fail, the key is to remember and learn.

(23,361 posts)it changes with the two clips of the older guy sitting down, was staged somewhere other than a real city bus.
Bernardo de La Paz
(60,320 posts)The second sit on the guy is the same as the first, but zoomed in slightly in post-production and slowed down. The young actor's movements are identical.
But the other clues (in my reply title) and the steady-cam videography indicate it is staged.
