The solar eclipse was mostly a bust on the West Coast

Bathed in clear blue skies, there was no discernable reduction in sunlight.

I viewed it under the shadow of a bush. Fun Fact: The hundreds of images of the sun were upside down.

It was noticably darker for about an hour, and it was the first time I've seen one through eclipse glasses, so that was kinda cool, but it wasn't nearly as spectacular as my friends' pix from Arkansas and Missouri.

Watching on TV live brought back some cool memories from my childhood and more recently from 2017.

NW Ohio, hazy sun. Saw the diamond ring and the beads. I watched from my backyard.

In NE Pennsylvania, we had about 95% coverage. It was terrific fun!

Of course, an eclipse is nothing significant. It's just an accident of orbital mechanics.

I live in NE Fla. All the stats predicted we would have 62% Coverage. While it did get a bit darker, if you didn't know there was an eclipse, it would not have been evident on the ground. Barely got darker.

Oh well very happy for all that got to experience a full eclipse.
