(I let our own Border Collie out into the back yard for a nature call late one night, to discover a 'possum was there, and our friend herded it carefully out of the yard, very patiently, respectfully. )

16. She's so gentle when she plays with the kittens!

I used to periodically mountainbike ride with a border collie - once I got separated from my friends and was turned around on a trail in the mountains - darkness was falling and I heard the coyotes howling. I was trying to find my way back when all of a sudden here came Fuzz! Looking for me with a big smile - I followed that white tipped tail right back to my friends. His human said he had followed his dog's tail out of the mountains many a time.

They're just such wonderful dogs!
