I've lived with cats my whole life except for about 5 months when I lived in a dorm in college before I moved into an apartment. I have a picture of my mom, heavily pregnant with me, with our cat, Geraldine, draped over her big tummy. Mom said that Geraldine would lay like that all the time, purring to me, so I loved cats even before I was born, lol.

I’m the same. I always had cats except in college and a year or so afterwards. I was forced to walk around the neighborhood in search of kitties to give me my fur fix. 🙂

Both of our kids were raised to be cat people. Both had the same first word: “ ‘itty.” I always joked that if it turned out they were allergic we’d have to rehome them…meaning the human offspring. 😁
