Asking for prayers/vibes for my extended family. Health issues. ..... Thank you. ❤️

Thanks, all of you. Please see reply 13 below.

I try not to post very much that's personal here, in part because some of my relatives knew long ago that I post here (I no longer mention the board name to any of them and never told them my user name) and wouldn't be happy with some of what I post. (I love them all, whether their political views are to the right or left of mine, but I don't want to discuss politics with them.)

And I won't be going into detail about what the health problems are, again because too many details would be identifiable, and it would be a very long list. But they affect a number of family members, the oldest in her 90s, and some of the health problems are potentially life- or limb-threatening, as well as causing a lot of pain and stress, not just for those with serious health problems but those who are their family caregivers, who are developing their own health problems from the stress.

I don't need any prayers for myself. I'm pretty much okay, other than losing sleep (others in the family are, too) and losing my voice a couple of times lately from all the phone calls about the health problems.

I know many of you are dealing with your own health issues. I do say a prayer and send good vibes when I see those requests, but I don't always post a reply as well, and I apologize for that.

If you can spare even a moment to send some positive energy to my relatives who are ill, it would be greatly appreciated.

to all of you.

to ask for help for your relatives but not yourself. You need to also maintain your health too, so you can continue your upstanding job of helping those others in your family, so I wish the best for you too.

I pray that those who suffer, get relief from their illnesses. I hope that you and other family members will also get more sleep and less stress. Peace to everyone.

brought tears to my eyes.

The relatives I'm asking for prayers for are my first cousins or more closely related, almost all the family I'm closest to. I'm not married, never had kids, and my parents are gone. I have one healthy sister-in-law, and my brother who's married to her needs a heart procedure in a couple of weeks, but he found a good specialist in another city, so he's actually the relative with health problems I'm least worried about because the odds are pretty good the procedure will solve the problem and he'll make a full recovery (and, as I said, his wife is healthy, unlike my other relatives in caregiver roles while dealing with their own health problems). I got news last night about another close relative having more tests done for what might be a very serious health problem, something he admitted was "a scare" and he won't get the results from his concerned doctors till next week. I told a friend here in email last night that some days I feel like screaming. There have been a number of times in the last year and a half when two of those relatives have been hospitalized at the same time.

I appreciate your concern for me, and I am trying to take care of myself. I discovered health food stores and books on nutrition when I first lived in NYC years ago, and I've been able to avoid the health problems my relatives are dealing with, including the heart problems that run in the family, and I found ways to cope with back problems from an injury decades ago, unless I do something stupid that aggravates it. But I've been losing so much sleep lately that I sometimes fall asleep sitting up, and last night I wondered if I might be getting an ulcer (have never had one, and the stomach pain is gone today).

So I decided I should ask for prayers/vibes for my family. I believe that positive energy from caring always helps, that you've benefited all of them. And me.

And I appreciate that more than I can say.
