(5,998 posts)The diversity of musical acts, fans, food, crafts, and just about everything else is amazing. The spirit of love an unity that permeates the festival is extraordinarily special and needed. I am listening on WWOZ right now and wishing I was there.

(39,507 posts)What a great town. French Quarter Festival, Satchmo Fest, Creole Tomato Fest, any freaking weekend fest. We lived about 50 miles from the Qtr for almost 30 years. Went there often. Stayed most of the time at Dauphine Orleans. Good Lord the memories. We are too old for that now (in our minds) but the memories never end.
I wake up every morning to WWNO.
