That’s right. I bought some vodka on the way home. One of the many reasons why I’m late getting here.

Pretty good neat or in a vodka-tonic. Kind of sweet, with some peppery notes.

I got some Haku at my local Grocery Outlet. Very smooth!

However, I've drunk myself out of my fevertree tonic (the only one my delicate stomach can handle), so it's been martinis the past few evenings!

11. It took me 2 OUI's to learn that lesson Doc. First one @ 18 was kinda bogus (long story).

The 2nd one....thank God I did not effect anyone else. Learned a life long lesson, 36 years ago..

Foot and a 1/2, maybe 2 ft drop - headfirst - on the roof. So drunk, did not think to lose consciousness.

And an automatic cheers for you and your profession. I live in Central Maine and I have the best healthcare crew I could be blessed with. My urologist diagnosed and dealt with my low cancer mass. He's from Lebanon, I couldn't have had a better Dr. I love immigrants.

I have a 250 ml flask and that's my limit. Usually less. Depends on what I need to do in the morning, and what time morning is going to be.

Do some shit - business and house-wise, then enjoy the remaining sun time on the deck . Listen to tunes, drinking something, smoking something, thinking about something.

27. I'm home by myself this evening, so no alcoholic...

…beverages for me. Family lore has it that my maternal grandmother’s parents were both alcoholics, so I’ve had a lifelong personal policy of never drinking alone. Seeing as a second glass of wine makes me very drowsy, I don’t think I’m at any risk of ever having a drinking problem, but it seemed wise not to tempt fate.

So, I will hoist a glass of Trader Joe’s organic green tea and lemonade mixed 2:1 with their sparkling grapefruit soda and say a hearty Welcome Back to Friday evening buzz sessions -

Yes, I remembered.

I'm finishing dinner, but I bought pomegranate juice today and I have some Sprite and Skyy vodka plus I unpacked some martini glasses a few weeks ago so that should make for a showy cocktail.

It's kind of strange that I haven't been able to find pomegranate arils for salads the last few weeks. I guess that they are out of season.

40. I'm fitting back into most, but not all, of my stuff.

I think by reducing my drinking and increasing my cardio both to pre-COVID levels, it will take me the rest of the way.

I have a few suits that I will probably have to swallow my pride and have let out. They’re too high quality to be hanging unworn in the closet.

I tried it, and disliked it so much, I couldn’t finish the bottle; not even as a mixer. Too bitter. It tasted like juniper, which is what you want in a gin, but not a vodka.
