Guitars players were frustrated for years because they couldn't get that riff to sound right, even though the notes are obvious.
It's because that's not one guitar playing chords. It's 3 separate guitar tracks playing the notes separately. Because of that, there's no phase interaction between the strings as on a single guitar.
There is literally no way to get that riff to sound like it does here with only one person playing.
