However, meeting and feeding the baby wild fox cub in my driveway a few yrs won me over.
It's very rare that I meet any critter I dislike.

Babies are such high maintenance and pains in the ass that no species would survive
without this hard wiring.
So just looking at pictures of adorable offspring of any species gives our brain chemistry a boost.
We get a big boost of oxytocin release, part of the dopamine reward system.
To balance all the bad news on DU, the cute pictures are great.
We get happy chemicals in our brains.
