From Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feral_cats_in_Istanbul
The Turkish city of Istanbul hosts a sizeable feral cat (Turkish: sokak kedisi, "street cat" ) population, with estimates ranging from a hundred thousand to over a million stray cats. Many Turkish citizens view street animals as communally owned pets rather than traditional strays, and the country has a blanket no-kill, no-capture policy.[1]

Feral cats may be cute, but they make more kittens. They need to start spaying and neutering them. I mean, they can get them into a carrier, they can get them to the vet to get snipped and ear-tipped, then released back into their colony.

compared to other urban areas.
Also, I love cats, but all those ferals can't be good for the bird population.
