Curious to learn what the cost of auto insurance & gas is nationwide.

Our renewal for a 2007 Prius is $1,114.

The price of gas today at our Arco Station is $4.75 per gal.

We are in Orange County, CA

Prices finally went down $.20/gal for 87 octane yesterday. When I went to Maine, early last month, our gas was $3.69/gal and it was like $.30 cheaper in Maine.

Right now, $3.49/gal.

Just paid insurance for my 2004 BMW, $148.00/six months. It just went up about $20. The '92 4Runner is only about $15 less. The BMW run on premium and that's over $4/gal Haven't driven it for a spell because I'm enjoying the 4Runner right now and the gas is so high. When AC is needed, it's switch over to using the BMW for a while, maybe until it needs gas, meanwhile I'll get the AC on the 4Runner fixed.

SW Montana, too close to the park.

Wow is right!

I have a 2019 Honda Civic Sport.

The insurance on it is about $700 a year or so.

And I have the nerve to complain?

If I pay this thing off, the insurance will be the same.

Why is it so much?!

SE Iowa.

That was in a town 18 miles from my hometown, where gas is $3.10/gal.

For some reason that town always has cheaper gas. I think it's because they have a Pilot station, which always has cheaper prices, and so the rest of the stations in that town have to compete at the lower price.

Competition. Not in our corporate dominated system today though. Practically no competition incentives.

pay attention. I live in Santa Fe, NM. I'm retired, don't get out a lot, and so need to get gas maybe every six weeks. Maybe longer. Lucky me.

The costs of this crap is finishing me off.
Throw in the $417/month car payment for a car that I was sold that was in two head-on collisions (I was lied to badly!).
Cannot sleep because of this car sh*t!

We got our 2007 Prius for 18,000 in 2009. Remember 2009? Only 11,000 miles on it. We took it to our mechanic before purchase and he said we got a real find. But years later we learned it had been in an accident. We sort of figured there was a reason for the deal, besides the great recession.

Where are you? Hawaii? $5.89 seems super high is it diesel?

This is a living nightmare.

I still owe $22K on it.

I have an attorney but he does not seem to be motivated.

I was told it had been in a minor accident which was a lie.

Two head-on collisions and the first one caused the airbags to deploy (so it was basically totaled).

I don't know what to do and making those payments is a huge strain on me as my income is abt. $1500 a month.

I was under duress when I bought the car.

Lots of body shop problems so far. I've had it since October 2023.

I wish I knew what to do.

Don't these liar car dealers just piss you off?
