Tried Popeyes' Chicken for the first time.

One opened where I live last week. Have to say not a fan. Staff was nice but just didn't care for the chicken or the fries. I prefer Kentucky Fried, and even spinach. 🤣

My sister didn't like it either. First and last time all in one trip.

Only a long time ago, just wasn't into it. Now I can't eat anything like that so it doesn't matter, no fast food, no fried food.

Only had to go there once.

Yep, you read that right!

After a four-month legal dispute to avoid a takeover, Church's Chicken became the second-largest chicken restaurant chain when it was acquired by Popeyes for $330 million

There was a Church's in the same building for 20 something years in the city where I grew up.
There was no Popeye's at all. (Back then the town had around 80,000 people.)
Then a Popeye's opened and just months later the merger happened. Everyone thought that spelled doom for the Church's, but it lasted until 2021. Basically, that location didn't survive the COVID slowdown.

The good news is that a new big Döner Kebap place is opening right in the middle of our small town of Ratingen!

Now THAT is good news. I hope the lines aren't too long.

We have all the fast food and pizza places anyone could ask for and several specialized expensive restaurants, and a few diners, but really no middle of the road affordable restaurants.

Most places here in Westfalen have a few decent places to eat without blowing next year’s vacation budget.

Now the pieces are tiny and the flavor too. About all fast foods in my area are degraded. Never liked KFC, was grossed out when I bit into some kind of organs.
