How supermarkets took over (the grocery biz) a history of the shift from mom n pop to mega stores

I remember grocery shopping with grandma where we went to half a dozen specialty shops in one trip

interesting and well done video looks at the trends in food selling and how we got where we are now. positives and negatives abound.

They had a Mom and Pop (literally) Grocery right across the street. That was an awesome, wonderful place to wander in and of course shop. This was back in the early 60s that I remember. Those were the Days My Friend.
