Thinking of a movie that was probably a late sixties, or seventy movie.

It involved two young men and a girl (young lady) who were on the run from the police in a Southern state. There were lots of car chasing scenes. The final scene will stay in your mind. It did mine. They believed that if they got over the State border they would be safe, so the ending is with them making it over the state line, still speeding through a forested area and hooping and hollering in excitement only to ram into a train that came out of nowhere. The end.

I don't know why, but I think the words Sugar and run were in the title.
